Newton Farm Collective is a small, organic, regenerative farm in New York's Catskill Mountains growing two acres of biodynamic vegetables, grains, and herbs, both culinary and medicinal. We focus on nutrient density and bio-diversity through soil amending, low-till practices, and cover cropping.
The farm is 200 years old and has a long rich history in the area. Built by John Newton in 1807 as a homestead for his family, Newton Farm was in the Newton family until the late 1980’s.
The Collective contains Newton Farm and Farm Store, Sootz Records - a NYC record store in our farmhouse - and our neighbors. We skill share with our community who are experts in a variety of trades and the arts. Activities at the farm include: cooking, brewing, cidering, vinegar making, sewing, building, and crafting. Our new pole barn will host community events throughout the growing season.
We sell our produce at the Lexington Farmers Market four miles down the road and at our onsite farm store.
